This is exactly why the simple, heartfelt video of a struggling Chinese adik Dicky and a kind-hearted Malay oil man exploded across Malaysian social media. Because it showed the one thing our worthless, self-serving politicians can never fake: ordinary rakyat actually looking out for one another while the elites sit in air-conditioned luxury and lecture us from their ivory towers.
Let’s be brutally honest. Malaysian politicians — whether from the so-called “government” or the fake “opposition”, regardless of party — have completely and utterly failed the people. Every single one of them. They don’t represent us. They represent their cronies, their fat bank accounts, their families, and their own political survival. The slogan isn’t “Malaysia Boleh” anymore. It’s “Kita Jaga Kita” — because the politicians sure as hell won’t.
These clowns earn up to RM40,000 a month in salaries and allowances, yet they have the audacity to pretend they understand the rakyat’s pain? They don’t. They never have. While Abang Minyak Hitam was out at midnight helping Adik Dicky whose motorcycle broke down after a long F&B shift, our MPs were probably asleep in their gated mansions or flying business class on taxpayer money. When these overpaid monkeys perform circus acts in Parliament — shouting, screaming, behaving like brainless animals — they are literally wasting the very taxes we pay them to “serve” us.
Look at the reality they refuse to see. Adik Dicky leaves home before dawn, works till past midnight, and still can’t afford basic repairs. RM5 for a cup of “Zus coffee” that some tone-deaf politician suggested? That’s one full meal for many families. These politicians have never known hunger. They have never reached home at 12:30 a.m. only to face rising gas prices and empty kitchens.
Madani is still sitting on RM33.3 billion in tax over-refunds that belong to the rakyat, yet they spend our money like it’s their grandfather’s inheritance.
Look at the heartbreaking reality they refuse to see. Adik Dicky leaves home before dawn, works till past midnight, and still struggles to survive. Even when kind-hearted Malaysians wanted to contribute money and give him gifts after the video went viral, he repeatedly rejected them, saying “Jangan bagi saya gift.” He didn’t want handouts. He just wanted to work honestly for his living. That level of dignity and humility in the face of poverty is something our politicians will never understand.
On the other hand, our politicians are already filthy rich — living in luxury mansions, driving MPVs with escorts, and flying private jets — yet they still shamelessly take bribes, demand kickbacks, and steal from public funds. They never say “Jangan bagi.” Instead, they actively chase more money, more contracts, and more power. While Adik Dicky rejects gifts out of pride, these greedy parasites keep their hands wide open, looting the country dry.
They tell us to “cook at home” and “bercucuk tanam” while they enjoy food and entertainment allowances we can only dream of. They suggest riding bicycles when even motorcycles get people home after midnight. They claim 85% of Malaysians are “not affected” by their disastrous policies. They lie that “all Chinese are rich” — when only 29% of Chinese are in the T20, 42% are M40, and 29% are B40. Chinese equity has collapsed from 70% to just 25%. Everybody is struggling, irrespective of race. Only the politicians and their foreign cronies are doing fine.
This is their favourite game: divide and conquer. They weaponise race and religion to make us hate each other so we don’t notice them looting the country. They scream “Melayu terancam! Islam terancam! Cina kaya!” while reviving scams like Jana Wibawa — money that was supposed to “uplift Bumiputera” but somehow ended up in the pockets of Muhyiddin, Hamzah, Wan Saiful and Bersatu-linked accounts.
Yet they keep pushing more foreigner-friendly policies, extending contracts like Bestinet for 12 years.
This is their favourite game: divide and conquer. They weaponise race and religion to make us hate each other so we don’t notice them looting the country. They scream “Melayu terancam! Islam terancam! Cina kaya! India ambil kerja!” — all while enriching their own inner circle. The real threat to every Malaysian is not the neighbour of another race. The real threat is the political class itself.
On the ground, there is no racial war. The hug between Adik Dicky and Abang Minyak Hitam wasn’t “Chinese hugging Malay”. It was two exhausted, struggling human beings showing basic compassion. That is the real Malaysia — happening thousands of times every single day. Politicians have lost touch with reality so badly they actually believe we hate each other. They call us “buta huruf” and “bodoh” when we criticise them, yet it is their failed education policies that left over 400,000 Malaysian students unable to read or write properly.
Try calling any of these so-called leaders at midnight when your bike breaks down. Unless you’re a Tun, Tan Sri, Dato’ Seri or Dato’, they won’t even pick up. While ordinary Malaysians sweat blood just to pay RM146 for repairs, politicians brag that RM2 million is just “pocket money.”
These people ride in MPVs with police escorts and drivers. They will never understand the fear of a motorcycle breaking down at 12:30 a.m. They fly private jets while doing cheap publicity stunts about “not taking salary”. One private jet flight probably costs more than an ordinary Malaysian’s entire yearly income.
Meanwhile ordinary Malaysians sweat blood for RM146 and still get penalised by LHDN if they can’t pay on time.
When people are starving, where do they go? Soup kitchens, NGOs, mosques, or kind strangers on the street like Abang Minyak Hitam. Not to any MP’s service centre — even though those centres get RM3.7 million in annual allocation. And while Malaysians go hungry, these same politicians happily throw RM200 million of our tax money overseas.
End of the story: Adik Dicky represents the 71% of Chinese Malaysians who are NOT in the T20. Abang Minyak Hitam represents the real Malays — kind, hardworking, and compassionate. Both are proof that the rakyat still have heart and dignity. The politicians have none.
After every election we will be forgotten again. We will fight among ourselves while they laugh all the way to the bank. The only people who truly understand the rakyat’s suffering are the rakyat themselves.
Kita Jaga Kita. Because the politicians never have — and never will.
