Sabah, our Tanah Air, is tired of broken promises, political chaos, and division. For decades, we’ve been split by parties that prioritize power over people. With 596 candidates vying for just 73 seats in the upcoming elections, the stakes are high. It’s time to reject the fragmented Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), punish Perikatan Nasional (PN), oust Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN), and rally behind Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan)—the only party that can unite us, end instability, and lead us to a future as prosperous as Sarawak. Here’s why Warisan is Sabah’s only hope.

GRS: A Chaotic Coalition of Recycled Politicians

GRS, a shaky alliance of multiple parties, thrives on division, not unity. Their five-year rule has been a disaster: stalled projects, persistent poverty, and a corruption scandal that taints their “clean” image. Video evidence alleging bribery involving GRS leaders like Datuk Yusof Yacob and Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy (Malay Mail, November 16, 2025) demands a thorough MACC probe, yet GRS deflects accountability.

Their 80% recycled candidates—veterans who’ve delivered little over multiple terms—include five members of Musa Aman’s family and Pandikar Amin’s wife, showcasing blatant nepotism. Led by Hajiji Noor, whose past failures as Chief Minister inspire no confidence, GRS’s fragmented structure and old faces cannot deliver the “Sabah for Sabahan” vision. They must be rejected.

Every election, we see the same political theatre. Grand promises. Big Big announcements. Emotional slogans meant to tug at our hearts.

And then what happens after that?

Some who claim to be “local fighters” today… run back to their peninsula “mothership” tomorrow. Some who vow loyalty to Sabah end up using us as bargaining chips.

Punish PN: Make All 42 Candidates Lose Their Deposits

Beware of those who use race, religion, or suspicion to split us. Leaders who thrive on dividing the people are rarely leaders—they are strategists of chaos.

Sabah has always been a land of harmony, where diversity is our strength, not our weakness. Anyone who tries to fracture that harmony does not deserve to represent us.

Perikatan Nasional, led by PAS, is a direct threat to Sabah’s harmony and progress. Their politics of hate, extremism, and supremacy have no place in our multiracial state. This election must be a referendum to show Sabahans reject PN’s divisive agenda by ensuring all 42 of their candidates lose their deposits.

Insulting Our Dignity: PN’s Kedah PAS leader’s Gardenia bread remark—implying our votes can be bought—mocked Sabahan pride. This arrogance shows their contempt for us.

Political Extremism and Supremacy: PN’s rhetoric, calling non-Muslims “kafir” and non-Malays “pendatang,” and their “Islam and Melayu terancam” fear-mongering promote race and religion supremacy. They urge votes only for Muslim candidates and promise “heaven” for PAS supporters, alienating Sabah’s diverse communities.

Hateful, Divisive Politics: PN’s agenda—pushing to abolish vernacular schools (where over 30% of Sabahans enroll)—sows division in our harmonious state. Their hate-filled playbook threatens the unity we cherish.

  • Regressive Policies: PN’s suggestions to ban alcohol would cripple Sabah’s tourism and disrespect our cultural practices. Their push to close vernacular schools endangers our children’s education and multilingual heritage. These backward ideas belong in the past, not Sabah’s future.
  • Failed Governance: PN’s “SG4” states (Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis) are Malaysia’s poorest, with crumbling infrastructure and rampant poverty. Their moral policing stifles freedom, while their inability to deliver progress keeps these states backward. Sabah cannot afford PN’s incompetence.
  • A Referendum for Harmony: By ensuring all 42 PN candidates lose their deposits, Sabahans can send a clear message: we reject political extremism, race or religion supremacy, and divisive, regressive politics. Let’s protect our unity and vote PN out completely.

PH and BN: Malaya’s Puppets, Not Sabahan Champions

Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional are Malaya-based parties that treat Sabah as a political ATM. PH’s inability to form a government alone leads to unstable coalitions, while BN, led by Bung Mokhtar, who faces ongoing corruption charges, recycles empty promises. Both rely on candidates who’ve lingered 3–4 terms with no results, neglecting MA63, fair revenue sharing, and Sabah’s infrastructure. Their loyalty is to Putrajaya, not us. For a true “Sabah for Sabahan” future, PH and BN must be ousted.

For too long, decisions about Sabah have been influenced and dictated—by powers far from our shores. Parties that fly in from outside, bringing along their own agendas, their own priorities, their own sets of expectations and instructions.

They do not understand our culture, our identity, our daily struggles. Even their “Sabahan” representatives cannot move without waiting for approval from their bosses across the sea.

Too Many Local Parties: Vote-Splitting Risks Our “Sabah for Sabahan” Dream

The “Sabah for Sabahan” cry is powerful, but too many local parties threaten it. With 596 candidates and multicorner fights, Sabahan votes risk being split, handing victories to outsiders or unstable coalitions like GRS.

If we truly believe in “Sabah for Sabahan,” we must consolidate our votes behind one local party that embodies our values: Warisan. By uniting behind Warisan, we ensure our votes aren’t wasted, our voices aren’t diluted, and our dream of a Sabahan-led future triumphs.

Where our leaders make decisions for Sabahans, not for distant masters. Where our culture and identity are honoured and protected. Where development is planned with heart, not ego. Where youth have opportunities, rural communities have support, and every family has dignity.

Why Warisan Is the True “Sabah for Sabahan” Choice

Warisan is the only party rooted in Sabah, built by Sabahans, for Sabahans. Unlike GRS’s fragile coalition or the crowded field of local parties, Warisan offers stability, unity, and a vision to make Sabah the next Sarawak—prosperous, proud, and united. By consolidating votes for Warisan, we reject extremism and division, ensuring a strong, Sabahan-led government. Here’s why Warisan deserves your vote:

One Solid Party, No More Division: Too many local parties and GRS’s patchwork coalition breed instability, political frog-hopping, and horse-trading. Warisan is a single, unified party, ensuring no more betrayals or split votes in multicorner fights. Consolidating for Warisan ends the chaos and builds lasting governance.

True “Sabah for Sabahan” Leadership: Warisan fights for MA63, fairer revenue sharing, and greater autonomy, embodying the “Sabah for Sabahan” spirit. Unlike PH and BN, who serve Malaya, or PN, who divide us, Warisan’s loyalty is to Sabah alone. United votes for Warisan amplify our voice.

Emulating Sarawak’s Success: Sarawak’s thriving economy and stability show what’s possible with unified leadership. Warisan’s vision—economic growth, modern infrastructure, Sabahan pride—mirrors this. By rallying behind Warisan, we can make Sabah the next Sarawak.

Fresh Faces, New Energy: Over 50% of Warisan’s candidates are new faces—young, dynamic leaders ready to serve. Compare this to GRS’s 80% recycled politicians or PH/BN’s 3–4-term veterans with no results. Warisan gives young blood a chance to break stagnation.

Shafie Apdal, Our Best Chief Minister: Warisan’s leader, Shafie Apdal, outshines BN’s Bung Mokhtar, mired in corruption cases, and GRS’s Hajiji, whose past leadership failed. Shafie’s integrity and vision make him the leader to unite Sabah.

Proven Results: From 2018 to 2020, Warisan improved rural schools, expanded scholarships, built roads and water systems, and boosted tourism, creating jobs even in remote kampungs. Their track record proves they can govern effectively.

Inclusive and Progressive: Warisan reflects Sabah’s multiracial soul, with leaders from Kadazan, Dusun, Bajau, Chinese, Indian, and more. They reject PN’s hateful rhetoric, offering policies that uplift all—digital jobs for youth, modern agriculture for farmers, and poverty reduction for everyone.

Clean Governance: Warisan stands against corruption. Unlike GRS, tainted by scandal, Warisan prioritizes accountability and the rakyat, ensuring a transparent future.

A Call to Action: Consolidate for Warisan, Reject Extremism, Build Sabah

Sabahans, this election is our referendum. With 596 candidates and too many local parties, our “Sabah for Sabahan” dream risks being fractured. GRS’s corruption and nepotism, PN’s hateful extremism, and PH/BN’s Malaya-first neglect have failed us. Their recycled leaders—Bung Mokhtar with his court battles, Hajiji with his failures—offer no hope. Warisan, led by Shafie Apdal, with fresh candidates and a united vision, is our path forward.

Reject GRS for their corruption and division. Punish PN by ensuring all 42 candidates lose their deposits, showing we reject extremism, supremacy, and hate. Oust PH/BN for their Malaya-centric betrayal. And consolidate your vote for Warisan to win multicorner fights and build a stable, Sabahan-led future. Let’s unite behind one party, end political frogs, and transform Sabah into the next Sarawak.

Choose local leaders who stand on Sabahan soil with Sabahan courage. Choose local leaders who will fight for the next generation, not the next election or political survival. Choose brave local leaders that does not wait for their Peninsula masters to make decisions for the state. Choose wisdom.

On polling day, mark your ballot for Warisan. Solidify our votes, reclaim our future, and make Sabah a beacon of unity and progress. Sabah Bangkit Bersama Warisan!
